(2011 to Present)

Sheriff Hamburger took over Duties of Sheriff in 2011. Sheriff Hamburger had previously spent 2.5 years as a Deputy in Faulk County and 6 months working for the Gettysburg PD prior to taking over as Sheriff. 

Sheriff  Hamburger oversees a staff of 2 full-time deputies and 1 administrative secretary.  

Sheriff Hamburger is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and has over 25 years in the South Dakota Army National Guard.
